About Iranian Society at Virginia Tech
The Society of Iranian Students at Virginia Tech is a
non-religious, non-political student organization whose objectives
are:
- To promote knowledge of Iranian culture among students,
faculty, and staff as well as various communities at Virginia
Tech and Blacksburg;
- To promote the spirit of friendship and cooperation among
other cultural groups and student organizations at Virginia
Tech; and
- To provide support to the Iranian community at Virginia
Tech.
The Society hosts several events and gatherings during the
academic year. These events are a venue for various cultural
activities and provide both members and non-members with an
opportunity to meet new people. The events are open to the
Virginia Tech community.
